The School of Business at Portland State University seeks candidates for a full time, non-tenure track position in Advertising to teach 36 credit hours of marketing and/or advertising courses per year, including direction of FIR, PSU’s student-run ad agency. Requirements for the position include recent and extensive experience working in contemporary advertising management and strategy, especially experience developing creative campaigns for an advertising agency or advertising department within a firm. Some teaching experience at the University level is also required. Knowledge of contemporary advertising practices is essential. A limited amount of service activities to either the School of Business or Accounting area is expected. Position starts on 9/16/2020.
(1) Bachelor’s Degree (2) 5 years experience in advertising firm or department in a leadership capacity. (3) Recent and extensive experience working in contemporary advertising management and strategy, especially experience developing creative campaigns for advertising agency or advertising department within a firm.
