Concordia University, Nebraska seeks applications for a full-time faculty position in business administration, particularly marketing courses. Responsibilities will include teaching at the undergraduate and graduate levels in the business programs of the University, advising students, and assisting in the development and execution of strategic initiatives for the College of Business and the University.
Teach classes in marketing and general management based on the needs of the department. Instructional assignments may include courses in Marketing, Advertising, Consumer Behavior, Sales and Sales Management, and Digital Marketing.
Engage in both College of Business and departmental planning, course and program assessment, curriculum development, student advising and assistance with student recruitment and activities.
Support the growth of the College of Business and department through innovative ideas and leadership experiences.
Demonstrate a willingness to enthusiastically embrace the University’s mission.
Remain current in areas of teaching responsibilities.
Work with colleagues from multiple departments in service to the university.
PhD preferred, however candidates who are ABD or have earned an MBA will be considered. Candidates who have earned an MBA must have either a concentration in marketing or substantial professional experience in marketing.
Evidence of excellence in teaching, preferably at the community college or university level.
Desire to develop professional relationships with students where the faculty member is seen by all students as an instructor, mentor, and advisor.
Work in the business industry or related practical experience, preferably in marketing. Experience in social media and digital marketing are strongly desired.
A candidate who is an active Christian required. Lutheran Church-Missouri Synod membership preferred.
