Rutgers, The State University of New Jersey, is seeking a Edit/Media Assistant Coordinator for the Graduate School of Applied and Professional Psychology (GSAPP). Reporting to the Senior Program Coordinator, the Edit/Media Assistant Coordinator role is to design, create, and deliver marketing programs to support expansion of GSAPP, its academic programs, centers and services. Among the key duties of this position are the following:
Maintains a calendar of posts and develops content for the GSAPP Facebook and Twitter accounts, and other social media outlets.
Updates the GSAPP website and assembles The Gazette, a biweekly e-mailed newsletter
Provides production assistance and logistical support for the GSAPP magazine, Ethos, including graphic design, procuring photography and interacting with print vendors, and for postcards/holiday mailings to donors, students, alumni, and other constituents
Assists in the execution of national digital programs and campaigns, including online advertising, web site strategy and design, social media, mobile, and deliverables.
Interfaces with marketing communications functions, as well as PR, events, product and program marketing teams
Manages digital agency relationships, day-to-day production, as well as campaign budgets and schedules
Updates and maintains site analytics, metrics, and campaign reporting
Manages photography needs for all academic programs, centers and events.
Facilitates marketing campaigns for our academic programs, centers and clinics.
Assists with campaign development.
Creates and mails stewardship letters on a daily basis.
Ensures contact and fundraising database is updated with expected close dates and other timely data.
Administrative duties as needed.
Minimum Education and Experience:
Bachelor's degree preferably in communications or an equivalent combination of education and/or experience.
Required Knowledge, Skills, and Abilities:
Ability to work under constant deadline pressure and manage multiple projects.
Strong management skills, excellent oral and written communication skills.
Deep understanding of digital marketing and digital production.
Proven experience delivering effective and innovative digital campaigns.
Proven experience delivering a variety of digital assets, including rich media online ads and social media applications.
Experience managing successful social media campaigns, and a solid understanding of social marketing.
Solid understanding of web metrics, digital analytics, with the ability to generate, analyze and interpret data. (Microsoft Office Suite, Drupal/Constant Contact)
Experience delivering digital campaigns for mainstream products and services Proficient with Adobe Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, HTML, CSS.
