Posting Summary: This position will provide strategic leadership and oversight to improve the College of Agriculture by coordinating all aspects of college marketing and external public communications. The incumbent will work to foster mutually beneficial relationships between the college and our business, regulatory, professional, and alumni communities to help them stay connected to the College. Serves as a key leadership team member and an active participant in making strategic decisions affecting the College of Agriculture. This position is responsible for all marketing and external communication activities. The incumbent will have primary responsibility for establishing and implementing the infrastructure needed to expand the visibility of the College through activities, outreach, and communication efforts targeting our public, government, corporate, and alumni stakeholders. The incumbent will design and implement a comprehensive plan for developing key external alliances by implementing and overseeing the operation of all aspects of a college advisory board. Job Duties and Responsibilities: *Develop and execute all communication strategies to keep various stakeholder groups informed of, and where appropriate, engaged in college endeavors. *Oversee operation of all aspects of the college advisory board. *Develop and execute strategies to document and promote the academic, scientific and outreach expertise in the college. *Develop and implement a program aimed at cultivating deeper ties with business and alumni groups. *Oversee College interactions with the University Public Relations office to promote the college. *Supervises/works with Communication Specialist to develop and coordinate media coverage plans for the College. *Maintain relationships with print and broadcast industry for marketing stories promoting the college. *Oversee preparation of internal/external communications and reports, such as quarterly reports, annual reports and updates to university administration and stakeholder agencies. *Performs other duties as assigned
