This commitment and pride make for a dynamic workplace.Job SummarySimmons University is looking for a Digital Communication Specialist to join the Marketing and Communications department. Reporting to the Email Marketing Manager, the Digital Communication Specialist will lead planning, implementation, and evaluation of Simmons University?s internal email strategy and design. From ensuring accessibility compliance, to designing and managing internal email communication guidelines and style, the Digital Communication Specialist will play a critical role in enhancing the internal communication channels at Simmons.The ideal candidate will be a creative, detail-oriented professional who demonstrates skill and experience in HTML and web/email design. This individual must have experience using email and/or web editing platforms in a professional capacity. This individual will be self-directed, but also value teamwork and collaboration. As a University committed to diversity, equity and inclusion, we are also looking for individuals who embody and are committed to incorporating these values throughout their work.Responsibilities:Lead and manage the review and distribution process of internal content, including maintaining mailing lists and groups;Lead and implement efficiencies in the internal email communication process, creating templates and ensuring the effective communication of information;Design and create layout decisions for internal newsletters and portal;Layout, distribute and publish content for internal staff, faculty, and student audiences;Serve as an internal email consultant for offices across Simmons, including Student Life, Office of Organizational, Culture, Inclusion and Equity, Office of Undergraduate Programs, and more.Review and analyze metrics from communication initiatives to inform strategy and approach, integrating industry best practices and trends;Manage internal email vendor relationship;Assist with additional communication needs as necessary.Qualifications:Bachelor?s degree in communications or related field;2+ years of related professional experience, including html, editing for web, and graphic design;Experience working with email tools in a professional environment;Knowledge of web/email accessibility and best practices for email communication;Familiarity with digital marketing, related metrics, and A/B testing practices;Familiarity with website navigation and usability;Ability to work both independently and collaboratively;Ability to manage multiple tasks/projects on deadline with a client-service orientation.Required Application Materials:ResumeCover letterSalary GradeS06Instructions to Applicants: Please upload all applicable application materials (e.g. resume/cv, cover letter, writing sample, teaching philosophy, etc.) in the "Resume/CV" box on page 2 ("My Experience") of this application.
