Sr. Web Editor/Project Manager

The Web Editor/Project Manager is an essential part of Dana-Farber’s efforts to expand its visibility and reputation, help people with cancer access its clinical care, and build public support for its deep program of scientific discovery.

Web Editor/Project Manager will play a pivotal role on the digital team in supporting key Dana-Farber digital marketing and editorial initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Digital Communications, the ideal candidate will have the ability to work cross-functionally, communicate effectively, drive complex projects forward, and pitch in where needed.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Philanthropy to support a wide range of fundraising programs and events.
• Work with internal clients, and digital and editorial teams, to develop web pages and other content.
• Manage and support a robust program of e-newsletters to physician, patient and consumer audiences.
• Support installation of new CRM system for marketing outreach and data management.
• Optimize web content for search engines (SEO).
• Support SEM and other marketing initiatives.
• Project manage a variety of technical and content initiatives to improve DFCI’s web platform, systems and content, involving a wide range of contributors and stakeholders across the Institute.
• Establish communication plan for project statuses, needs, barriers, and the like.
• Evaluate and rollout/expand use of enterprise tools to keep project coordination centralized and organized.
• Ensures the daily quality, continuity and accuracy of website content.
• Generates interest from, maintains relationships with, and guides the editorial contributions of key institutional clinical, research, and administrative experts.
• Contributes to Dana-Farber’s social media presence.

KNOWLEDGE, SKILLS, AND ABILITIES REQUIRED:

• BA/BS or equivalent educational background
• 7+ years of managing digital projects (e.g. online publishing, CMS tools, digital marketing, web development, etc.)
• Experience building and managing project timelines and milestones using an enterprise project management tool (e.g. Workfront, MS Project, Asana, etc.)
• Experience working with web developers, designers, UX, business analysts, writers, editors, etc.
• Familiarity with CRMs and marketing automation
• Content Management System experience preferred
• Experience with projects involving websites, SEO, Google Tag Manager, Google Analytics, and content/publishing
• Demonstrated strong editorial skills, including editing and writing for the web
