What you’ll be doing... As the Manager of Advertising Technology & Safety, you will be responsible for evolving and enforcing our brand safety standards while helping to ensure the quality and integrity of our media tagging and data for key marketing initiatives. Reporting to the Director of Analytics, Data & Technology, you will help develop, maintain and monitor guidelines for all digital media touch points to ensure brand safety and compliance, upholdering Verizon’s leadership in brand safety standards. You will drive consistent delivery of the most sophisticated digital marketing strategies, oftentimes requiring collaboration and influence with Verizon teams outside of your team. We are looking for a leader who thrives on collaboration with other teams (media planning, social, search, business unit, CRM, research, creative, privacy, venture capital) and external platforms including key partners (i.e. FB, Adobe, Google, Epsilon, etc.). - Key lead for establishing guidelines for viewability, frequency and brand safety.
- Coordinating with VZ Marketing and BU Marketing Analytics team to analyze performance, monitor campaigns for improvements, and ensure campaign goals are being fully met.
- Verification and compliance (no inappropriate placements) across display and video.
- Communicating results and business impacts of all safety initiatives to stakeholders within the company.
- Translating business needs to technical requirements and working with teams to ensure proper implementation to allow easy, precise analysis of the impact of our safety processes.
- Documenting all marketing data standards and processes for accuracy and audit as necessary. Data fidelity is key.
- Working with integrated marketing teams (CRM, .com, etc.) to ensure data consistency and connectivity.
- Managing end to end tagging processes, troubleshooting and executing new initiatives across VBG and Affiliate marketing.
- Partnering with cross functional teams to ensure a framework for data and analytics is in place, enabling key metrics, trends and opportunities to be identified across channels, campaigns and consumer segments.
- Ensuring our tagging structure allows for the necessary granularity to drive insights and optimizations decisions.
What we’re looking for... A digital media platforms expert with an end to end understanding of the digital marketing ecosystem and the technology that powers it. You are familiar with the technical touchpoints between platforms and able to navigate through a growing field of media technology partners and services. You’ll need to have: - Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
- Six or more years of relevant work experience.
- Experience with technical implementation across digital platforms, including social (e.g. Facebook, Twitter, LinkedIn), Search (e.g. GoogleAds, Bing or Yahoo), DSPs (e.g. Verizon Media Group, The Trade Desk or similar), and DMPs (e.g. Adobe Audience Manager, Oracle BlueKai or Salesforce Krux).
- Experience with measurement of Display, Paid Search, Video, Social, Audio, Mobile, or other digital channels.
- Experience using at least three of the following:Doubleclick Campaign Manager, Display & Video 360, Google Analytics, Adobe Analytics, Search Ads 360, LiveRamp, Adobe Audience Manager.
- Experience working with brand safety, fraud and viewability measurement tools (Integral Ad Science, Double Verify, MOAT, WhiteOps, Google ActiveView).
- Experience with Tag Management Systems (Tealium, Adobe Launch/DTM, Ensighten) and other ad ops web debugging tools (Charles, Fiddler, Ghostery, Google Tag Assistant etc).
- Willingness to travel occasionally to either Basking Ridge, NJ or NYC office.
Even better if you have: - A degree in a related field.
- Six or more years of experience in measurement of Display, Paid Search, Video, Social, Audio, Mobile, or other digital channels.
- Detail-oriented approach to holistic marketing measurement and project management.
- Results-driven perspective on marketing.
- Experience with data onboarding and audience strategy.
- Knowledge of emerging channels, including OTT, IoT and feed based social channels (e.g. Twitter, Facebook, TikTok, Reddit).
- Strong analytical skills with the ability to apply business strategy to data analysis and recommendations.
- Exceptional ability to turn raw data into actionable conclusions.
- Demonstrated exceptional communication skills.
- Knowledge of Display (desktop, mobile), Paid Search, Digital Video, Streaming audio, various buying methodologies (CPM, CPC, CPA), etc.
- Basic knowledge of HTML5 and Javascript.
