Job Duties: - Develop and execute in-game and event promotions, recognitions, and activations of corporate sponsorship activities
- Supervision of designated graduate assistants, and student staff
- Develop the media/advertising plan, addressing all forms of advertising (commercials, newspaper, etc)
- Develop and implement marketing initiatives across all sports to increase brand awareness, Fan loyalty, student attendance and revenue generation
- Serve as the liaison to Campus student groups, spirit squads, band and other university units.
- Communicate and approval of all athletics licensing and branding opportunities in conjunction with Office of University Licensing, Branding and Marketing.
- Experience with the Adobe Creative Suite including Photoshop
- Adheres to NCAA and Southland Conference rules and regulations, as well as the policies and procedures of the department, the University, and the University of Louisiana System (ULS).
Education: Required: Bachelor’s degree from an accredited institution. Preferred: Master’s degree from an accredited institution. Experience: - Knowledge and understanding of Marketing, Revenue Generation and Sales concepts.
- Thorough understanding of marketing planning
- Experience in developing relevant analysis of marketing opportunities and strategies
- Ability to communicate with diverse audiences in a way they can and will effectively steward and advance the Athletics Department.
- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communications and management skills.
Qualifications: - Excellent written, oral and interpersonal communication skills
- Ability to operate a departmental budget within allocated resources
- Ability to supervise personnel through previous leadership experience
- Thorough knowledge and understanding of NCAA DI rules, practices, policies, philosophy and procedures.
