Job Description The Content Development Specialist is responsible for executing all operations related to website management, social media engagement, and internal and external communications for the Lynch School of Education and Human Development. This position transacts requests from faculty, staff, and administrators regarding website changes, announcements, and advertising campaigns and anticipates various routine, ongoing needs regarding website maintenance, academic cycle-related communications, and community building virtual engagements. The position works with the Programs Administrator to support events (both in person and virtual), by coordinating media capture, conceptualizing and implementing registration systems, advertising/marketing, creating and disseminating all digital representations of the event, and other tasks, as needed. Assists Director of Marketing and University partners (e.g., Assistant Vice Provost for Graduate Enrollment) with implementation of digital marketing. Functions as a responsive team member across the various areas in the Office of Strategic Initiatives and External Relations, including Professional and Continuing Education, Urban Outreach Initiatives, Program Innovations, and alumni relations. Contributes with content creation for programs, initiatives, and engagement that emerge from each area of the Strategic Initiative office. Qualifications Bachelor's degree and three or more years related work experience, preferably in an academic setting. Experience working with web-related technologies. Computer literacy with PC and Mac environments Experience in web writing, editing, content and communications Proficiency with MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe CS applications (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) a plus. Motivated to learn new skills: interest in learning new programs and concepts in Internet technology and best practices. Research new web tools, training, assessment and process adoption. Strong organizational, communication and proofreading skills required. Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously, work independently/as team member. Full-Time Equivalent Hiring Range: $51,350 to $64,200; salary commensurate with relevant experience. Requirements Bachelor's degree preferred and a minimum of three years related work experience in an academic setting. Experience working with web related technologies. Knowledge of BC Content Management System a plus Computer literacy with PC and MAC environments Experience in web writing, editing, content and communications Proficiency with Google Suite, Google Analytics, MS Word, PowerPoint, Excel. Experience and knowledge of HTML, CSS, Adobe CS applications (including Photoshop, Illustrator, InDesign, Dreamweaver) a plus.
