What you’ll be doing...
The Verizon Business Group Digital Marketing Team is looking for an experienced Development Manager who can lead an international development team to drive successful outcomes. You will be a servant-leader with a strong customer orientation and an ability to create a world-class development team that supports digital projects. In this role, you will work closely with all levels of our organization, and amongst digital product owners (POs), functional subject matter experts (SMEs), in order to ensure we’re delivering the most valuable outcomes at the best time for our customers.
Leading a small team of developers.
Designing and developing front-end and back-end web architecture.
Developing servers and databases.
Developing and supporting projects from conception to implementation.
Working with Graphic Designers and Web Developers.
Reviewing code written by other engineers and providing useful and honest feedback.
Deploying applications to Heroku and Netlify.
Writing documentation around features and operations to help share knowledge and save other developers’ time.
Working with many stakeholders to plan and execute projects from conception to implementation, designing and developing web architecture, and providing guidance on technical issues.
What we’re looking for...
You’ll need to have:
Bachelor’s degree or four or more years of work experience.
Six or more years of relevant work experience.
Two or more years of experience managing people.
Even better if you have:
Ability to influence organizational direction and departmental initiatives working up, down and across the organization.
Used customer centric methods & approaches to design products and/or services.
Effective interpersonal and team building capabilities.
Experience in digital marketing, ideally in an enterprise environment.
Presentation, analytical, and communication skills.
Willingness to challenge the status quo, in the appropriate settings and providing compelling evidence.
Knowledge of Web Development disciplines.
Experience using Google Analytics and Google Tag Manager.
Source management skills with git.
