The Digital Content Strategy Associate is a high-performing member of the Content Strategy team within Harvard Public Affairs and Communications, Harvard's central communications office. The Digital Content Strategy Associate is primarily responsible for creating and curating content for HPAC digital properties and managing high-priority projects. Reporting to the Director of Content Strategy, this role is tasked with identifying and developing digital content and storytelling opportunities, contributing to digital marketing strategies (including research, planning, and audience strategy), supporting university accounts on social media channels, translating data-driven insights into content recommendations, owning a digital education and best practices event program series (e.g., the Digital Academy), managing various projects and vendors, and supporting the content strategy team, as needed, in various other ways.

Write and/or curate content for Harvard's main digital platforms and products, ensuring that all ideas, content, and messaging approaches are in line with institutional priorities
Translate data-driven insights (analytics, user research) into editorial content, and marketing opportunities
Manage projects and vendor relationships to ensure effective team communication, documentation, quality assurance, timeliness, and receipt of deliverables
Support social media channels by creating and/or curating content relative to the platform and its users; experience managing YouTube a plus
Ensure consistency and excellence in web content quality by documenting and encouraging best practices for user experience
Implement and continuously improve an education initiative for digital communicators across the University by developing programming, updating a guidelines website, and producing regular internal newsletters
Own project and process documentation efforts across multiple projects; assist with scheduling
Handle invoices, budgets, contracts and other team documentation

A bachelor's degree or higher from an accredited institution
3 - 5 years of digital content, marketing, or editorial experience, ideally in a nonprofit or agency setting.
Excellent writing and editing capabilities — an eye and an ear for dynamic, polished, on-brand copy
Social media experience, particularly supporting or managing brand accounts
Experience working for highly visible brands and organizations a plus
Experience project managing complex creative and/or web projects, competing production timelines, comprehensive documentation, and interdisciplinary teams
Experience working with and convening a diverse array of stakeholders up to executive level
