The Athletics Marketing Assistant will support the marketing office in their efforts to generate revenue by enhancing the fan experience in effective and creative ways while advancing the Carolina Athletics brand. The marketing assistant will be primarily responsible for the development and execution of marketing plans for Men’s & Women’s Lacrosse and Men’s & Women’s Soccer aimed at generating revenue via ticket, concessions and merchandise sales as well as increasing attendance at home contests. The Marketing Assistant will work directly with coaches, sport administrators and student-athletes on a regular basis before and during their respective season. Additional responsibilities will include, but not limited to: Oversight of non-ticketed Olympic Sports marketing efforts, assisting with generating marketing/promotional efforts for Men’s Basketball and Football aimed at enhancing the in-game experience for our fans: establishing effective on-campus marketing efforts aimed at increasing student attendance: and other duties as assigned.
Master’s degree in related field preferred; Knowledge of graphic design programs including Adobe Photoshop and Illustrator; prior experience in collegiate sports marketing environment. Progress towards bachelor’s degree; or master’s degree; previous experience in collegiate sports marketing.
