The McKesson Global Real Estate Services Group is looking for a Communications Specialist who will leverage their skills and experience as a writer and editor to create compelling operational, customer facing and employee communications. The individual will learn the operation of our products, build strategic relationships and trust at all levels of the service lines and business, and develop new approaches and mechanisms to informing our customers of product issues, new feature impacts, and special events. Looking for a person who can do significant strategic and tactical work at normal times, and also thrives under pressure of deadlines.
The Communications Specialist will be responsible for coordinating the content strategy, deployment and maintaining all web platforms. The Communications Specialist will also participate in developing and implementing relationship marketing (CRM) for business unit facing communications across selected digital platforms. As part of this role will also develop change management communications as needed and act as our Group meeting facilitator for MRE all hands meetings.
Lead writer/editor for all department programs, with responsibility for developing wide range of content (emails, PowerPoint decks, social media posts, video scripts, event scripts, intranet pages, web pages, overviews, articles, talking points). Create a tone that adheres to McKesson brand standards while reflecting the unique nature of the department's programs and mission
Provide executive communications support for Service Line Leadership, such as speaking points and draft quotes for press releases, facilitate Quarterly Employee All Hands meetings.
Develop, maintain and execute against an optimal Communication Plan and content schedule. Manage and prioritize tasks within the event plan to achieve project goals.
Determine e-newsletter topics/content based on the digital content calendar. Follow up on editorial content planning with all stakeholders.
Create, socialize, and implement customer communications processes and develop toolkits and templates that employee ambassadors can use to increase engagement in department programs. Includes advising internal teams on how to create better communications
Work with MRE TechOPS team to create learning content for technology solutions within the MRE group.
Collaborate with the Corporate Communications Managers to develop a global content calendar that is consistent across the board. Coordinate communication deliverables.
Coordinate planning and production of visuals and content for the different digital platforms (e-newsletters, web sites, internal social media). Ensure content is updated and messages are coherent across digital channels.
Able to "zoom in and zoom out" - pivoting from big-picture strategy development to detailed, hands-on work.
Excellent writer and editor who can quickly master tone and accommodate fast turnarounds.
Strong attention to detail and attentive to agreed-upon processes.
Editorial eye - able to spot story opportunities that will resonate both internally and externally.
Mature team player ready to "roll up their sleeves" and pitch in.
4+ years communications experience, Bachelor's degree in Communications and/or Digital Marketing
Significant commercial Excel and Word experience, using advanced features. (Office 365)
Translates complex technical/healthcare, product information, and/or customer impacts into easy-to-understand communications for a non-technical audience.
Adjusts writing tone and style to fit the situation, with exceptional grammar and attention to detail.
Highly organized, detail-oriented individual who communicates consistently well with a wide variety of stakeholders.
Creatively thinks through difficult and ambiguous situations, in a fast-paced environment.
Experience in digital content management (editorial)
Expertise in multiple social media platforms
Familiarity with online marketing strategies and marketing channels
Bachelor's degree in Communications and/or Digital Marketing
