Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Development
Trinity in Washington, a comprehensive university in the nation’s capital, seeks a Vice President for Marketing and Enrollment Development. This position is the chief admissions officer of the institution and is responsible for planning and supervision of all marketing, recruiting and admissions programs for all Trinity academic units and programs, including the undergraduate women’s college known as the College of Arts & Sciences; the School of Nursing and Health Professions which has associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees in Nursing, Occupational Therapy, Health Services, Public Health and Counseling; and the School of Professional and Graduate Studies including certificate, associate, baccalaureate and master’s degrees in Education, Business, Strategic Communications and a broad range of workforce-focused programs including several fully online programs. Trinity currently enrolls 1900 students in all programs, and has a strategic goal to reach 2500 students by 2025. Historically known as Trinity College in Washington, founded in 1897 as one of the nation’s first Catholic women’s colleges, Trinity today is a broadly diverse university classified as both a Predominantly Black and Hispanic Serving Institution. More than 70% of Trinity undergraduates are Pell eligible.
Reporting to the president and working in close cooperation with Trinity’s Public Relations and Creative Services teams, Financial Aid team, as well as the provost and deans of the academic units, the vice president is responsible for developing marketing strategies for prospective student recruiting that strategically align Trinity’s programs and degrees with target markets in the Washington region and strategically selected other locations, and from that alignment, to develop the student recruiting strategies and tactics that will increase the volume of prospective and enrolled students for all units and programs. The vice president supervises a team of 15 including admissions directors, recruiters and core data management staff. Trinity seeks a vice president with considerable experience in managing admissions personnel to meet daily and weekly targets for inquiry management, applicant pool development, declarations of interest and yield management for final enrollment. The vice president should have advanced skills in using data to inform and shape recruiting and enrollment decisions.
Successful candidates must demonstrate success in Admissions and Enrollment Development, preferably in similar types of private colleges and universities. Candidates must provide evidence of outstanding oral and written talents along with proven ability to manage staff for success. A master’s degree or equivalent work experience is required.
