How you’ll have an impact at Paula’s Choice: As the Ecommerce Director, you will be the owner of the vision for the Ecommerce platform within the overall company strategy. You will be responsible for providing the ultimate shopping experience for our current and prospective customers through innovation, feature development and continuous improvement of the US and Australian Ecommerce sites.
As Ecommerce business owner and product owner, you will be responsible for the user flow across the funnel by driving the optimal customer experience. In order to achieve this, you will work within a multidisciplinary team of product owners, UX/UI designers, SEO/[AL1] CRO specialists and site merchandisers. You will guide the team while working as one of them, prioritizing based on the customer experience and business value. For new feature development and other technical changes of the platform you, the product owner and UI/UX designers will be working closely with the front-end developers in the IT team. For merchandising, you will be working closely with the brand and creative teams.
This is an opportunity to own the Ecommerce product and experience and to lead and drive cutting-edge innovation for the largest DTC skincare brand in the US.
As an Ecommerce Director, you would be responsible for:
Ecommerce product ownership; Ecommerce strategy and backlog management; Monitoring, optimization, configuration and development of the overall Ecommerce platform
Responsible for optimizing the backbone of the site, including navigation structures, merchandising location, and user flow across those pages across and through funnel
Drive strong process to create user stories, manage the product backlogs, prioritize based on business value; also to evaluate, action and iterate.
Championing agile best practices with ability to organize and chunk work so that the teams can effectively execute and ship value to the customer in small pieces.
Work in close collaboration with various stakeholders and the multidisciplinary team to define business and consumer value and to decide upon priorities.
Develop strong relationship with the front-end developers on the IT team to facilitate collaboration.
Lead best practices for proper testing protocols and validating of new product releases
Own onsite personalization strategy and business strategy of Tealium Predict
Oversee the optimal Ecommerce experience through merchandising and deployment of products within SFCC.
Oversee development of CRO plan with effective prioritization based on business and customer impact, and execution & analysis by team
Oversee SEO channel to include: strategy and key KPI’s such as sessions, conversions and revenue.
Provide strong leadership and empower a talented team of ecommerce and product owner team members.
Responsible for dashboarding, budget and targets

Location: We are based in Seattle, but open to this role being fully remote
Hours: Must be available 8:30am-6:00pm PST
Physical requirements: Must be able to both sit for long periods of time and handle long periods of screen time

What you’ll bring to the table:
5+ years experience as a product owner and with digital product management, in addition to overseeing UX/UI and merchandising.
4+ years experience in the agile way of working, specifically determining business impact vs. effort, writing user stories, managing backlog, and deploying the team against priorities accordingly
Strong leadership skills
Strong commercial skillset to evaluate size of prize and prioritize efforts accordingly.
Ability to create and track KPIs to drive decision making on what to do next.
Ability to create big ideas and execute the details flawlessly
Proven track record of delivering on key feature site releases on time.
Ability to be a key business driver and deliver on key KPI’s and influence teams to work as efficient as possible.
Strong communication skills to manage expectations from the top, bottom and across departments.
