We are currently seeking a Communication Associate to start immediately.
Position: Communication Associate Reports to: Director of Communication FLSA Status: Non-exempt
Job Summary Reporting to the Director of Communication, this position will focus on building brand awareness for the School externally and increasing the breadth and depth of our communications internally. The Associate will interact daily with the wider Sacred Heart Greenwich community—from students and teachers to alumnae and parents. The Associate will be responsible for creating and executing a variety of digital communications including, but not limited to photography, social media, email, design, and more. The ideal candidate is open to learning about all areas of digital marketing, building on internship and personal experience creating and consuming content. Preferably, the candidate will be fluent in many social media platforms and have an interest in graphic design.
Assist in the development and production of social, digital and printed materials, which means coming up with content ideas, creating the content and distributing it
Develop and distribute emails on behalf of the Parents’ Association, the Fund for Sacred Heart, special events and more
Regularly update the School website with fresh content
Participate in regular professional development to learn new digital strategies
1-2 years of related communications, writing or social media experience (internships and coursework can count toward experience years)
Professional or personal proficiency in social media
Event, fundraising or marketing experience in classes or internships is a plus
Impeccable writing and communications skills; a creative storyteller
Highly organized and detail-oriented
A team player who can also work independently
Up-to-speed on the changing media landscape and emerging new media channels
Holds a Bachelor’s Degree
Availability for occasional evening and weekend events outside of COVID
This is a 12-month position
