We are looking to hire an experienced Account Executive with strong account relationship-building skills, along with Project Management skills, to nurture and grow existing accounts and help secure new account business. Our ideal candidate is motivated to be part of a growing, fast-paced team and has worked in an agency environment where you’re managing multiple clients at the same time. Our target candidate is a self-motivated, strong communicator who will work side-by-side with our Account Director to build, enhance, and manage client relationships on the front lines of our established agency experience. We are looking for a candidate who has had a proven track record of successful relationships with clients large and small, with a preference for those in the mission- and member-driven space, but not required.
Project types: branding and identity, marketing and interactive, campaigns, website design and development, digital design, conference collateral, print collateral, and publications. Not architectural or industrial design.
Position reports to the Account Director
Position requires employee to be onsite after September 1, 2021 (Silver Spring, Maryland), with some travel (mostly local)
Minimum four years of account management experience for branding, campaigns, web, digital, and print. We are looking for candidates that understand communication strategy and can be placed in many environments. Marketing channels and communication tactics are changing every day and, especially in this virtual world, we want our candidate to be curious and engaged in new and exciting ways to connect with audiences locally, nationally, and globally.
Experience leading accounts and ongoing client relationships that include identifying opportunities to enhance the client experience and expectations.

Autonomy and working independently as well as directly with the team.
Working knowledge of web development best practices, CMS experience (esp. WordPress and Drupal).
Interactive knowledge of principles for creative, IA, UI/UX requirements.
Knowledge of print production standards, press-ready criteria, mailing/shipping logistics.
Base knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud software that may include InDesign, Photoshop, Illustrator. We are not asking you to be proficient in these applications, but have the ability to understand what’s being used in the office.
Account and Project Management Software: Basecamp; Box; DropBox; Workamajig a plus.
Excellent organization and communication skills with keen attention to detail.
Analytical and problem-solving skills, and a solutions-oriented mindset.
Account lead and main point of contact for client and accounts throughout project life cycles
Contribute to proposals and meet with prospects to secure new business
Identify opportunities to grow accounts and coordinate planning for next steps
Proactively seek out and resolve issues and conflicts within accounts
Manage changes in project scope with Project Management team
Building timelines and budgets, and closely tracking with Project Management to adhere to folder structure and internal processes
Deep understanding of project scope, goals, and deliverables that support business objectives
Set and continually manage expectations with clients and Project Management team
Communicate with clients to translate technical requirements and recommendations
Coordinate with Project Management team to report on account health to management
Starting salary based on experience
