What does this role do?
University Enterprises and Events (UEE) is seeking a collaborative, innovative, and strategic leader to enhance and optimize the departmental marketing efforts through inspired leadership, creative innovation, and development of a comprehensive UEE Marketing Strategy. The Director of Marketing will report directly to the Associate Vice President for Organizational Effectiveness within UEE. The Director will provide direct leadership to three marketing professionals. The marketing team will collaborate with UEE leadership to create, communicate, and deliver offerings to key stakeholders in a manner that elevates departmental activities and offerings to achieve the division's mission and vision.
The Director will be responsible for outlining a strategic marketing plan, enhance and highlight departmental activities to ensure a financial return to University, create and distribute content, and offer growth strategies for the division's strategic priorities.
The Director is expected to generate UEE revenue through successful marketing for the division, using market research, pricing, product marketing, marketing communications, advertising and public relations.
Lead the creation of annual and long-term UEE Marketing Strategies. Outline strategies, creative content, delivery methods, and communications that help generate UEE revenue and drive employee and guest relations to help the division achieve its mission.
Lead a team of marketing strategists and creative developers to implement the marketing strategy, through the utilization of market research, pricing strategy, product knowledge, creative expertise, delivery of communications and consumer marketing.
Serve as a key partner to UEE leaders and campus communicators to ensure the UEE mission is achieved and supportive of the overall university mission and messaging.
