Web Developer/Designer - Tickle College of Engineering
The Office of Engineering Communications within the Tickle College of Engineering seeks to hire a web developer and/or designer. This position will work collaboratively as part of a team of communications professionals to design and implement digital design, content strategy, digital marketing, and data analytics.

Oversee the implementation of the university's web standards and branding to all web applications and webpages as specified at http://brand.utk.edu.
Leads the development, programming, and support of website projects associated with the college's digital media initiatives
Meet with college's constituents to discuss and provide guidance for new web projects.
Provide ongoing upgrades, enhancements, security patches, and bug fixes to web applications and services
Develop and maintain web themes for WordPress while ensuring websites are responsive and perform in a user-centered manner
Provides training to college constituents on proper use of WordPress and web best practices
Assists in creation of smart email marketing templates for college departments and administrative units
Implement methods to improve search engine relevance
Implementation of digital marketing programmatic elements including Google Tag management, tracking pixels, and retargeting
Identify, research, and recommend best practices for optimization technologies, techniques, and strategies and improvements to accessibility.
Create occasional graphics for social media and website posts
Complete professional development opportunities in order to keep knowledge and skills up-to-date.
