The Impact You'll Make in this Role As an Senior Marketing Insights Specialist, you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact by:
Engages in business needs to ensure clear scoping of appropriate global primary or secondary research objectives and methodology leading to a learning plan that addresses business gaps and/or opportunities and creates value for the business
Leads and executes all phases of primary research projects from scoping (costs, timing, in-house v. vendor) through deliverable development and presentation of recommendations, including managing the budget, team communication and project status updates
Participates in research conducted in-house and provides analysis, including detailed pattern analysis, statistical significance interpretation and findings development from qualitative and quantitative data to drive storytelling
Synthesizes multiple data sources, including secondary and other internal/external data, into insights to develop strategic findings and recommendations
Preps, presents and leverages insights for compelling recommendations to a variety of audiences, including both global business and technical functions, division VPs, etc.
Aligns and collaborates with analytics, pricing, segment and brand colleagues within the Global and Area Marketing Centers, as well as other functions within the business (marketing, lab, sales, manufacturing, design, etc.)
Your Skills and Expertise To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:
Bachelor's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
Five(5) years of experience in market customer/consumer research and/or analytics in a private, public, government or military environment
Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:
MBA or graduate studies in insights/analytics/psychology field
Knowledge/experience with Qualtrics, Decipher, SPSS, as well as Microsoft Office Suite
Ability to pull together a clear story and offer actionable recommendations from a variety of data sources
Strong interpersonal and consultative skills including exceptional problem-solving skills (both practical and non-traditional), business savvy and executive poise - clear history of influencing others
Strong project management and organization skills, highly detail oriented, ability to manage multiple projects
Comfort with ambiguity, adaptable, self-motivated
Travel: May include upto 25% domestic/international
Relocation Assistance: Is not authorized
