- Collaborate with the Athletics Integrated Marketing and Communications team as well as with University Marketing and Communications staff to ideate, develop, edit and post content across all athletics social media platforms.
-Coordinate the design and creation of compelling and engaging content in conjunction with Athletics Digital Media staff and University Marketing and Communications.
-Monitor industry social media trends and help position Athletics accordingly in existing and emerging spaces.
-Analyze results of social media campaigns, both paid and unpaid, and provide metrics to internal stakeholders.
-Design and/or create social media content using Adobe Creative Suite, as needed.
-Assist with gathering and disseminating real-time content while attending athletic events.
-Monitor fan sentiment and identify ways to increase reach and engagement.
-Maintain a detailed content calendar to ensure promotion of appropriate team-related content, events, programs and marketing efforts are properly implemented. Attend events as required.
-Assist with adding content to the athletic department’s website, GoTigersGo.
Bachelor’s degree in journalism, communications, digital marketing or a related field and a minimum of two (2) years social media experience in a collegiate or professional sports setting. Must have experience using Adobe Creative Suite (Photoshop, InDesign, etc.) and Microsoft Office.
