The Director, Strategic Marketing Partnerships will cultivate and maintain relationships among external marketing partners collaborating across the organization to build & maximize integrated partnerships that bring value, impact & a competitive advantage for US Pharma.
This position can be based remotely anywhere in the U.S. (there may be some exceptions based on legal entity registration). Please note that this role would not provide relocation as a result. The expectation of working hours and travel (domestic and/or international) will be defined by the hiring manager.
Your Key Responsibilities: * Partner Strategy & Engagement: Define the strategic direction and priorities of key media & digital partnerships for the US Pharma portfolio. Build alliances with strategic partners by defining joint roadmaps, managing multiple top to top touch points and maintaining partner health. * Partner Identification & Development: Examine partner investment, historic engagement & contracts to understand areas for direct ownership to increase transparency. Conduct assessments to compare offerings & identify the most optimal strategic marketing partnerships for Novartis. * Portfolio Management: Build enterprise wide partnerships including managing the agreements to ensure we are meeting milestones & maximizing value adds across brands & franchises. Evangelize partners internally through regular check-ins & performance reviews. * Internal & External Collaboration: Collaborate closely with key internal stakeholders (Brands, Procurement, CA, IPL, Finance, Legal, Regulatory, Communications & Patient Advocacy, etc.) to identify & build partnerships that will drive impact for the business. Act as the connector and ambassador for Novartis in representing our overall approach to strategic partnerships. * Education & Best Practice Sharing: Establish best practices for how to effectively work with & leverage partners. Produce supporting materials to share learnings and keep organization up-to-date on the latest partner offerings. Effectively communicate trends, successes & updates on a continual basis. * Leadership & Consultancy: Provide senior consulting expertise to leadership, brand teams and colleagues at all levels of the organization engaged in digital marketing and media activation. Represent US Pharma in cross divisional, cross market partnerships. * Global Coordination: Build strong, collaborative relationships with the Global Digital Office to ensure alignment and effective execution of partnership engagement strategies. Work closing with the Global Platforms Manager & US Social Media Teams to cultivate and maintain relationships among social media platform partners. * Team Management: Manage a team of channel specialists leveraging insights & relationships across key areas like social & content. Create a high performing culture by instilling future focused thinking that is rooted in the Novartis Values & Behaviors.
