We are looking for a dynamic, organized self-starter to join as Senior Manager of Product Marketing – Orbitz/Travelocity brands on the Multiproduct and Engagement team. This role is a part of a team that sits within the Expedia Marketplaces organization and will help determine the needs of Orbitz, Travelocity and other COMET brands (Cheaptickets, Wotif, Travelocity) and enable adoption and usage of new products and features from our Travel Experience Platform.
In this role, you will help develop insights to guide product development, cultivate partnerships across teams, and champion opportunities to enhance each brand’s value proposition. You will develop a deep understanding of the different brand strategies and target customers to assess and synthesize customer needs into product configuration requirements. You will be an evangelist - passionate about travel, solving traveler problems, doing right by the customer, and laser focused on enabling brand success.
A strong candidate is great teammate that excels in translating data to impactful insights and advocating for customer-centric solutions. Product strategy, marketing, ecommerce and travel industry knowledge as well as personal attributes of effective stakeholder management, persuasive communication, and creative problem solving are keys to success in this position. A customer-focused mentality and savviness in balancing qualitative and quantitative data to communicate the customer needs is essential. Due to the entrepreneurial and dynamic nature of our business, we seek team members who can operate at a strategic level but who are equally comfortable at a detailed execution level.
What you'll do:
Collaborate with multiple brand marketing and product teams on research requests to understand target customer, market, and shopping funnel analytics
Centralize all product-related requests from brand teams; champion COMET customer needs to influence product roadmaps
Develop and pitch business cases for key differentiating capabilities with applicability across brands
Highlight new functionality from the Travel Experience Platform and position how it can enhance the value propositions of the different brands, and partner on ways to increase adoption/usage
Who you are:
7+ years internet, ecommerce experience, international or global scope preferred
5+ years of product marketing, product, or strategy experience, B2C preferred
Experience translating customer, market, industry, and experience data into impactful insights
Experience developing strong partnerships with product management and marketing
