University Advancement's USC Alumni Association is seeking an experienced, collaborative, and enterprising professional for the position of Associate Director, Black Alumni Association.
Develops and presents engagement programs for alumni, including lectures, seminars, and workshops. May plan, organize and coordinate special events and activities. ( 10%) Â
May lead staff, volunteers, temporary and/or resource workers, as required. Plans and forms support and volunteer groups. Provides leadership, work guidance and/or training. Schedules, assigns and prioritizes workloads, as needed. Sets appropriate deadlines. Ensures timely completion of work. ( 10%) Â
Manages, plans, organizes and conducts specific fundraising programs or specialized development projects. Contributes to short and long-term strategic planning efforts. Recommends fundraising goals and objectives for assigned programs. Assesses, analyzes, and evaluates fundraising programs or specialized projects. Identifies problem areas or need for changes and provides recommendations for modifications or adjustments. Â
Supports marketing and communications outreach that tells the story of the USC Black Alumni Association and the communities that it engages. Writes, edits and produces fundraising and/or marketing materials. Develops support materials for specific fundraising activities. (10%) Â
Leads and coordinates social media efforts for the BAA to, help the BAA to identify and contact its alumni, create lasting connections with alumni, identify alumni interests, pinpoint new areas of interest to alumni, identify new prospective donors and drive provide intelligence for new and innovative fundraising strategies. Â
Demonstrates knowledge in the areas of: new media/internet communications, computer and/or database management, volunteer staff management, constituency building, and development fundamentals. Â
Writes content for use online and in print and provide input for graphic design Â
Identifies, cultivates and maintains relationships with donors and volunteers. Conducts research to update and expand donor base. Â
Coordinates and produces reports, proposals, and analyses for management, to include monthly budget to actual reviews of areas of programmatic responsibility, periodic reports to reflect relevant data gathering and analysis, and post-event reports and recommendations. Â
Manages program or event budgets. Provides recommendations for the development of a school or department fiscal year operating budget. Â
Performs other related duties as assigned or requested. The University reserves the right to add or change duties at any time. Â

Ability to identify and respond to emerging trends in social media. Â
Considerable knowledge of and skill in using Microsoft Office Suite.
