University Communications and Marketing is seeking a Senior Front End Developer to join our team.
Core responsibilities will include:
Create compelling interfaces using a range of front-end technologies, with progressive enhancement and graceful degradation in mind. Develop stunning, innovative and user-focused websites and CMS templates.
Execute thorough QA and code reviews to ensure functionality and accessibility for all users, anywhere.
Interpret design and UX assets (wireframes, comps) as code.
Write and maintain automated tests.
Work with visual designers to support user experience, visual design language and branding.
Work with end-users for feature improvement and troubleshooting.
Create new functionality for our digital properties and support or users with custom applications when needed. Extend our existing applications to improve performance, stability, and feature set.
Work in a cross-functional team using elements of agile methodologies

Visual acuity to perform activities such as extended use of a computer monitor, extensive reading, transcribing, analyzing data and figures, visual inspection involving small defects, small parts and/or operation of machines, using measurement devices, and/or assembly of parts at distances close to the eye.

Bachelor's degree or an equivalent combination of education and/or work experience is required.
A combination of 5-8 years of experience is required in the following areas:
Experience working in a team using agile methodologies
Configuration and development of content management systems
Knowledge of accessibility and usability best practices and standards
Experience with the following technologies:
Git-based source control (GitLab)
Drupal 8+ development
Behat (Gherkin) testing
Hannon Hill Cascade Server
