The University of Alabama is accepting applications from qualified individuals for the position of Assistant Athletics Director, Marketing and Fan Development.
The Assistant Athletic Director will be responsible for the overall management and daily operations of assigned areas, which includes the supervision and delegation of work assignments.
The Assistant Athletics Director is responsible for the development and implementation of comprehensive strategic plans for the Athletics Marketing Department in order to enhance marketing, promotional, customer experience, and sales efforts while fostering innovative and collaborative efforts to engage the students, staff, alumni, supporters and prospective fans of the Crimson Tide worldwide. This position will report directly to the Associate Athletics Director for Strategic Marketing and oversee the Associate Director of Marketing and Fan Experience, Assistant Director of Marketing and Fan Experience, and Strategic Marketing Coordinator. Position will also assist the Associate AD with administrative oversight of spirit programs and management of outbound ticket sales efforts.

Minimum requirements include: Bachelor's degree in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, or Sports Management and five (5) years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports organization; OR Master's in Business, Marketing, Management, Communications, Public Relations, or Sports Management and three (3) years of experience within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports organization. Proficiency in the use of Microsoft Office and other related software. Seven (7) years of experience working within an intercollegiate athletics department or professional sports team is preferred.
