As a member of the USC Gould School of Lawâs Communications Office, the Digital Marketing Projects Manager will play a central role in the marketing, success, and growth of our online graduate programs. Among several important responsibilities, the Digital Marketing Projects Manager will support comprehensive marketing operations for a range of academic programs, manage and coordinate projects, develop digital content and strategy, conduct market research and data analysis, engage stakeholders, and provide data-driven consultation.
Successful candidates will have strong project management skills; excellent written and verbal skills, including presentation delivery; hands-on content development experience; extensive background in data analysis, research, and reporting; digital strategy experience and hands-on skillset; and experienced at consulting organizational leadership. The Digital Marketing Projects Manager will report to the Director of Strategic Communications.
Supports high-priority projects focused on the growth of online graduate programs
Provides high-level management of digital projects involving promotion, awareness-building marketing, and advertising for target audiences
Balances complex long-term initiatives, with time-sensitive urgent requests
Assists with transition of content, assets, accounts, and data between digital platforms
Tracks promotional and advertising content, and offers evidence-based guidance, and assists with necessary updates
Maintains calendar and monitors budgets to further strategic priorities and to refresh digital content
Supports launch of new digital platforms and relationship-management tools
Data and Research:
Conducts competitive analysis of online academic programs
Assesses performance of current strategies, and provides data-driven recommendations for improvement
Researches latest trends and best practices in online education
Examines and analyzes social media analytics (paid and earned) to guide strategy
Drafts and delivers reports on projects and marketing performance
Assists with storytelling efforts that resonate among prospective student audiences
Develops content for social media, web, e-newsletters
Plays essential ownership role in website content â writing, editing, proofing, identifying opportunities for search engine optimization
Produces digital messaging and products for target audiences
Coordinates content distribution across social platforms and online channels
Supports in creation of digital marketing materials
Works closely with vendors on online marketing, advertising, and other digital projects; offers input and recommendations on strategies
Serves as key liaison with partners across USC to elevate awareness of high-priority graduate programs
Represents programs to external audiences present
Gathers information and presents to key partners
5+ years of professional experience in digital projects and promotions, with increasing responsibilities related to project management, data analysis, reporting, content creation, marketing support, and strategic consultation
Experienced in managing digital content â including website, social channels, CRM platforms
Experienced in working across teams on multiple projects, both as a collaborator and individually
Experienced in consulting high-level leadership on strategies and best practices
Experienced in higher education setting and promoting academic programs
Proficient in written and visual content creation â using Adobe suite and Canva â to engage prospective students and to market products
Advanced market analysis research and performance reporting
Complex project management, including managing/meeting deadlines and budget tracking
Strong written and verbal communications, including delivery of presentations
Data analysis strategies
Critical thinking and complex problem solving
A graduate degree is preferred
