Reporting to the Assistant Director of Marketing and Sales, this Digital Marketing Specialist will coordinate and execute all Harvard Athletics digital marketing campaigns, with an emphasis on revenue-generating initiatives. This newly created position is responsible for creating brand-conscious graphics optimized for digital application, managing the department’s email database, analyzing and reporting on campaign results, developing content calendars, developing paid social and online ticket sales initiatives, developing content, including but not limited to, email marketing, web and social graphics, digital signage, sponsorship materials, and other marketing and sales-related content. The marketing team is focused on supporting strategic goals related to generating revenue, increasing attendance, providing education through athletics, and building community and pride in Harvard.
Develop, implement and optimize high-quality, engaging, and creative digital marketing campaigns and strategies to generate ticket sales, support the brand and meet objectives.
Create graphics adhering to brand guidelines utilizing the Adobe Creative Suite
Deliver effective marketing automation through the use of Emma and other relevant platforms and channels to reflect emerging digital marketing trends
Manage email marketing including database management, market segmentation, and testing to ensure optimization across devices
Analyze and compile performance metrics for all digital campaigns using google analytics and other reporting methods
Maintain graphic updates and design for tickets.gocrimson website.
Create, manage and update Marketing and Ticket Office digital marketing calendars
Using allocated budgets, create and run paid social media campaigns and explore new paid search opportunities
Develop recommendations for improving search engine optimization
Collaborate with ticketing, communications, and multimedia departments to deliver a comprehensive approach to digital marketing projects
Support the Marketing department in the creation of additional content for GoCrimson.com and App, Student Rewards CrimZone App, digital signage for locations around campus, sponsorship proposals, sponsor deliverables, and other marketing and sales-related materials as needed
Other duties as assigned by supervisor

Basic Qualifications (Required): Bachelor’s degree required A minimum of 3 years of professional experience executing successful digital marketing campaigns and strategies as a member of a marketing, web, or communications team
Additional Qualifications and Skills (Preferred):
Experience with creating, coordinating, and tracking email marketing processes, systems, and results
Ability to develop digital content (includes photos and video) in a fast-paced environment and apply content marketing principles
Proficient with Adobe Creative Cloud (all applications)
Proficient with Google Analytics (certification preferred) and experience in reporting metrics for digital marketing analysis
Proficient with Microsoft Office
Proficient with HTML/CSS
Knowledge of interactive and digital media, including website maintenance Experience using CRM systems, preferably Salesforce
Familiarity with running paid advertising campaigns on social media platforms
Possesses analytical skills and data-driven thinking
Understands digital marketing best practices, including emerging trends and new technology
A high level of judgment is expected based on the priorities of the department
Strong writing, editing, proofreading, and interpersonal communication skills
Creative and innovative thinker
Ability to balance multiple projects and deadlines simultaneously
Ability to work both independently and collaborate with a team
