Adjunct Lecturer of Communication-Online Marketing Communication Development and Analysis

The Master of Communication Management (MCM) program in the Annenberg School for Communication and Journalism, University of Southern California seeks a qualified Adjunct Lecturer to supplement instruction offered by our full-time faculty, specifically to teach one section of CMGT-555, Online Marketing Communication Development and Analysis in spring 2022. The course covers the digital marketing landscape, data ethics, paid vs. owned online channels and strategies, content marketing, brand storytelling across channels, artificial intelligence in marketing, and marketing analytics and testing.
Candidates must have substantial industry experience in marketing communication and/or public relations. Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication is highly desired.

Minimum Education: A Masterâs in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
Minimum Experience: 15 years of professional experience.
Preferred Education: A Masterâs or Ph.D. in Communication, Public Relations, Marketing, Business Management or related fields.
Preferred Experience: Teaching experience in marketing communication, strategic and organizational communication, other fields of applied communication. Demonstrated ability to coach and help students achieve their academic and professional goals. Work experience in related positions at national or global agencies or Fortune-500 tier companies.
USC reserves the âAdjunctâ appointment for faculty teaching less than full-time at USC, who are employed full-time in a primary profession or career elsewhere. Adjunct faculty typically teach only one course per year, but in exceptional cases, may teach one course per semester, if approved by the dean.
