Working under the Associate Athletic Director for Intercollegiate Athletics, the Marketing Associate will develop and implement sport-specific and department-wide marketing plans and assist in the developing of long-range planning for marketing initiatives and events. The selected candidate will direct social media efforts and enhance web presence; provide administration with social media analytics and suggestions for changes to maximize effect; and develop and expand website content to enhance visibility. The Marketing Associate will assist in the direction of the branding campaign, visual branding and online digital presence as well as develop and evaluate marketing and advertising materials for various media communication vehicles including design, layout and production of reports, promotional materials, and special publications. Additionally, the Associate will oversee game/event management operations at assigned sports including overseeing marketing activities and implementing game management protocols. The Marketing Associate will also assist in the supervision of the department’s graduate assistants and student employees. As part of the Athletics team, the selected candidate must support the SIUE Principles Governing Athletics, and comply with all University, Conference, and NCAA Division I rules and regulations. Further duties and responsibilities may be assigned based on the needs and goals of the department.
Due to the professional needs of this position as well as the scheduling of special events, occasional evening, weekend, or outside of normal business hours shifts may be required.
