Association Management Center is seeking a Marketing and Membership Manager to join our team! This role supports AMC’s clients, Association of Rehabilitation Nurses, (ARN), and American College of Academic Addiction Medicine, (ACAAM).
Develop and implement marketing plans in support of all revenue areas including membership, conferences, industry relations (ARN only), education and certification.
Effectively support organizational activities and goals, ensuring brand standards, Intellectual Property protection and voice consistency are maintained.
Analyze and interpret data and trends to support all marketing and membership efforts, and track effectiveness of specific promotional efforts, making recommendations for enhancements.
Develop and maintain a social media strategy to enhance organizations’ brands. Ensure all areas of social/digital media are optimized as effective marketing and communications tools.
Serve as the lead team member responsible for organizations’ websites, ensuring content is fresh and interesting, while serving as the main contact for all social media outlets. Serve as owner and “chief evangelist” for organizations’ online communities.
Assist staff and member leaders with strategic messaging needs, including speech writing and presentation development.
Develop and manage departmental budget to ensure desired results are achieved.
Serve as a resource to staff and provide oversight of the direct marketing and communications support delivered.
Provide leadership in development and coordination of the editorial content of publications including website, eNewsletters, membership collateral, new member communication, brochures, journal advertising, educational promotions, press releases, etc.
Regularly prepare reports on status of projects and progress toward goals for the Executive Directors and for Board meetings as requested.
Develop and manage process for gathering feedback from members and customers on a regular basis to measure satisfaction and identify new needs of customer.
Build strong working relationships with internal support departments, external consultants and vendors to achieve high quality outcomes.
Remain current on trends and issues impacting the organizations’ membership, the profession, marketing, communications, branding and association management.
Create, implement and manage an engaging member recruitment and retention plan.
Collaborate with volunteers of committees/task forces as appropriate to achieve stated goals and objectives. Serve as primary staff liaison to ACAAM Membership Committee and various ARN task forces, with additional volunteer leadership responsibilities as assigned.
Oversee recruitment and retention activities for organizations, developing effective campaigns and ensuring support staff are accomplishing needed tasks.
Plan regular member touchpoints to enhance retention.
Responsible for tracking and reporting key member data and regularly providing to key staff and volunteers.
Performance of other duties as determined appropriate.
Bachelor’s degree required, Marketing or Communications focus strongly preferred.
Minimum of four years of experience in well-rounded marketing/communications/membership role.
Demonstrated excellent writing/editorial and verbal skills as well as the proven ability to make clear, convincing presentations to a variety of constituencies.
Experience working within a nonprofit association (healthcare specialty association) setting a plus.
A strong track record of a self-starter who is capable of managing a variety of key initiatives concurrently.
Experience with project management processes including the ability to multi-task and manage multiple priorities simultaneously meeting established deadlines and goals.
Experience communicating, coordinating and collaborating with volunteers.
Strong customer service/member orientation and well-rounded interpersonal skills.
Consistent attention to detail.
Demonstrated analytical and problem-solving abilities.
Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite, email marketing software, web content management systems, association management software/database, social media, and e-survey tools.
Ability to travel out of state and overnight 3-4 times per year.
