JOB SUMMARY/ESSENTIAL JOB FUNCTIONS: This position primarily creates, coordinates, evaluates, edits, maintains, and publishes content on the UTHSC website. The position also assists with social media as needed, serving on a team of content providers and posters.
DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
Creates, coordinates, evaluates, edits, maintains, and publishes content on the UTHSC website and social media accounts.
Works with Digital Content Manager to make decisions on website design, strategy, elements, functionality.
Works collaboratively with the Communications division to ensure content on the website and social media is accurate and follows UTHSC's editorial guidelines.
Works collaboratively with the Creative Services division to ensure content on the website and social media follows UTHSC branding guidelines and matches the style of other marketing and communications materials.
Frequently monitors and reviews analytics to reveal trends of how content is being received by the audience, which pages are most visited, and other metrics to allow data-driven decisions to be made that impact the university's website.
Trains uthsc.edu website users on the OU Campus content management system.
Collaborates and plans website updates with partners in Information Technology Services.
Creates social media content and posts for the main UTHSC channels - Facebook, Instagram, Twitter, LinkedIn.
Works with Campus Coordinators to plan social media and website content to promote the mission of the University.
Meets with various clients within the university to establish their website and social media needs.
