The Project Manager (PM) is the face of the company to the client. The PM is responsible for fostering the company's relationship with clients and delivering on the C-leveled brand promise – to help build the clients' business. The PM will look after client needs through direct contact, liaison, and the marshaling of company resources. The PM will maintain a highly responsive service orientation in all transactions while at the same time keeping in mind that the company's service must be compensated. The AE must be knowledgeable in both the client's business and the company business. The PM works closely with, collaborates, and supports all C-leveled team members involved in developing any consulting services, strategic plans, media plans, PR, creative and interactive services on behalf of the client.
The PM reviews all deliverables to confirm whether they meet strategic goals before being delivered to the client for approval.
The Project Manager is responsible for:
Maintaining direct and attentive client contact. Manage client expectations and ensure that the client is always satisfied with the company's services and product.
Tracking and managing all activity, both internal company and external assigned to third parties, on behalf of the client and reporting same at weekly company meetings.
Directing the services of the Account Coordinators or interns (if any are assigned) to ensure proper company service to clients and adequate company record keeping. Mentoring Account Coordinators and Interns, if appropriate.
Working in a proactive manner aimed at providing clients with the most significant amount of value through communications and strategic and tactical plans; while maximizing the company's profitability.
Receiving client briefings and querying clients when information is not forthcoming—anticipating the company's knowledge best to suggest strategic and tactical advantages to the client.
Staying abreast of clients' industry trends and market developments, sharing all relevant information with others in the company, and briefing the team in account management support.
Providing all team members with well-documented input, support data, and production materials as required.
In the absence of CXO, Creative and Media personnel present and sell tactical plans, communication plans, concepts, and media plans to clients; where CXO, Creative, and Media personnel are present, supporting selling concepts and techniques.
Providing clients with timely budget updates.
Creating, coordinating, and proofreading proposals, estimates, purchase orders, change orders, and authorizations for client approval.
Assisting in the preparation of client invoices, if needed.
Working with freelance resources as needed.
Checking and approving copy, design, production art, and other deliverables and coordinating client approval.
Coordinating project timing and budgets with all relevant company personnel and account team members.
Preparing and reviewing all client communications, reviewing essential developments with relevant team members.
Preparing weekly overviews of clients' current activities and updating production and status notes.
Discuss quarterly revenue forecasts plus plan for future development of accounts.
Encouraging new business opportunities with existing clients and playing a supportive role in their development.
Is thoroughly familiar with C-leveled credentials and specialties.
Continuously work to upgrade their knowledge and skills through available reading, research, and seminars.
Sharing your unique skill sets and being a resource for colleagues and other team members as needed.
Positively representing the company and exhibit an entrepreneurial, "whatever it takes" attitude in contributing to the company's success.
Play a consistent and positive role in the ongoing profitability of the company.
