The leader is responsible for the below key pillars:
Supplier Marketing Program
Accountable for overall strategic direction, long-range plan and annual financial goals through four individual contributors.
Increase financial contribution of the program and increase value to suppliers through inclusive collaboration with main stakeholders.
Identify new capabilities and develop into commercial programs to suppliers.
Lead research efforts to improve and innovate programs.
Lead the development and execution of our supplier engagement strategy through one individual contributor.
Responsible for strategy, architecture, and execution of large supplier events. Includes financial contribution goals and delivering high value to suppliers and sales teams for our National Sales Conference.
Lead an annual supplier-facing Net Promoter Score that includes execution, analysis, internal recommendations, action-planning and internal / external communication plan.
Lead the development and execution of the supplier communication strategy and plan through one individual contributor. Ensure alignment to the overall engagement plan.
Responsible for the supplier communication strategy and execution including annual strategic messaging, communication reviews, channel planning and calendarization.
Develop and manage a contact management database for our suppliers to ensure communications reach the right audience.
Responsible for supplier value prop communications and materials for teams to use with suppliers.
Collaboration and partnership
Closely partner with Category Management to understand supplier strategies and create aligned marketing efforts.
Partner with Marketing Communications, Segment Marketing, Product & Programs Marketing and Digital Marketing teams to influence the development of new tactics.
Partner with Sales teams to collect feedback, gain perspective and align program objectives.
Work with the Legal team, the Compliance team, Supplier Services and Category Management to execute and evolve Marketing Services Agreements (MSAs) and pricing models
Team Management and Leadership
Leads and manages a team of 6-7 associates
Part of the Merchandising & Analytics leadership team
Extension of Category Management leadership teams
13+ years of professional experience including 5+ years managerial experience; ; 5+ years of marketing experience
Additional Knowledge & Skills
5+ years project management and/or event management experience
5+ years' experience owning a budget and/or proven experience with a P&L
Experience working in a large public company preferred
4-year degree in Marketing, Business or related field or equivalent experience
MBA preferred but not necessary
General Office Demands
Ability to travel domestically 15-20%
