This is a rare opportunity where we have an internal team working hand in hand with a leading Agency to bring the latest and greatest SEO strategies and tools on all fronts. You will have the responsibility for overseeing the execution of, and performance reporting for our SEO strategy. In this role you will work in conjunction with other members of the marketing, product and technology teams to prioritize tasks and implement strategies.
We are a Fortune 90 company experiencing massive growth in our major markets 40%+! Much of this is due to starting our marketing engine in the last couple of years and we are just now really finding our stride. If you know SEO strategy or even tactical applications - we need you. This role could be based in New York City or Milwaukee.
Here is what you will do:
Shepherd the "SEO-first" mindset across the marketing organization, incorporating organic search philosophy, attributes, and optimization opportunities at all stages of content creation and technical implementations.
Operate as an extension of the content and creative teams to provide recommendations and execute strategies in coordination with SEO goals - general and keyword specific. Write meta data, make internal linking recommendations.
Conduct ad hoc SEO audits as needed, including measuring keyword positions, search volume and overall site visibility and ranking using defined SEO tools (Google Search Console, SEMRush, MOZ)
Conduct SEO training sessions (content creators, writers, developers, etc.) as needed.
Serve as the point of contact for, and the day-to-day management of, the external agency.
Effectively balance the 'art and science' of SEO to align brand and business strategies with performance and optimization goals.
Manage internal teams to set priorities and execute on-site optimization.
Oversight and management of all SEO resources as applicable to technical/site architecture attributes, content optimization, link acquisition/management and mobile presence.
Keep pace with SEO and digital marketing industry trends and developments.
Bring Your Best! What this role needs:
Bachelor's degree is required
Minimum of 5 years' experience in Search Engine Optimization
Willingness to continuously learn and monitor changes in the landscape
Knowledge and experience with common SEO tools such as: BrightEdge, SEOClarity, Google Search Console, Bing Webmaster Tools, Moz.com and SEMRush
Knowledge of HTML and CSS (not coding level)
Self-starter who can work independently with proper guidance and direction
Attention to detail and the ability to effectively multi-task in a deadline driven atmosphere
Excellent analytical, organizational, project management and time management skills
Significant knowledge of the fundamentals - content, technical and reputation SEO pillar
Ability to lead and develop teams
