Essential Functions: JOB PURPOSE:Develop and implement strategies that strengthen existing digital channels (website, email, social media) and programs of the Office of Alumni Relations and Wayne State Alumni Association. Develop new and unique digital programming designed to engage diverse alumni audiences and bolster their connection to the university. Establish and maintain the brand voice of the Alumni Association on digital platforms and ensures that communications and engagement activities align with measurable goals. Reports to Director, Strategic Alumni Initiatives.ESSENTIAL FUNCTIONS:Create and implement unique digital alumni engagement programs including webinars and virtual events via social media and other channels and platforms. In addition to creating original programs, manages and promotes the offerings of the Active Learning Classroom webinar platform. Coordinate and execute social media strategies for all Alumni Association channels. Ensures coordination with schools and colleges, Annual Giving, Development Communications, and the main university channels. Develops strategy to engage social media ambassadors. Recruits, activates and manages those ambassadors. Provide communications and digital marketing support for engagement and development activities including, but not limited to, broad-based alumni events, regional alumni networks, school and college events and campaigns, Alumni Day of Service and Giving Day. Provide strong project management of marketing communications campaigns for various clients and audiences. Create content for and maintains alumni.wayne.edu website.
Qualifications: MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS:Education:Bachelor's degree. Graduation from an accredited college or university with a Bachelor's degree in Marketing, Communications or related field. Experience:Experienced (minimum 2 years of job-related experience)Minimum of 2-3 years of experience in digital marketing or communications. Higher education or alumni experience preferred.
