Position Description: UCLA Strategic Communications increases awareness, understanding and support of UCLA's vision, mission and accomplishments among its many constituencies. A major focus of this department is the formulation and implementation of strategic communications initiatives, plans and events.
The Brand Marketing team develops and leads brand strategy that elevates and celebrates the UCLA brand, including strategies around audience, messaging, content themes, experiential marketing, partnerships, new channels, desired action, tone of voice, look-and-feel, etc.
Reporting to the Associate Director of Marketing Operations, the Senior Marketing Manager is responsible for the strategy development, creation, management and implementation of integrated, measurable marketing and communications initiatives as developed under the direction of the Associate Director, Marketing Operations and in collaboration with the other members of the Brand Marketing team. The Senior Marketing Manager will oversee day-to-day account management of marketing programs, including helping to write and strategize creative briefs, developing marketing campaign activities in accordance with leadership objectives and budget, collaborating with other members of Strategic Communications to ensure that successful execution aligns with goals, and supporting evaluation and measurement process of various marketing campaigns, adapting strategy based on results. The incumbent develops, monitors and maintains program budgets and provides reports to the Associate Director; coordinates with production staff to establish production budget and with budget staff to ensure accurate accounting records; and oversees all aspects of building, servicing and maintaining positive and productive relationships with leadership and campus partners; and generates weekly status reports for review by the Associate Director and assists in establishing Brand Marketing team priorities. Duties are performed onsite during normal office working hours. Working hours may include weekends, evenings and holidays and may require light travel.
