Archbishop Williams, a Catholic, co-educational, grades 7-12 school in Braintree, MA, seeks a team player to lead its communications and marketing efforts as the Director of Marketing and Communications. This person will report to the President, and will work closely with the Principal, Director of Advancement, Director of Admissions, CFO, and others in the AWHS community. This is a full-time position that requires occasional night and weekend availability.
Roles & Responsibilities
Build the brand image and enhance the reputation of the school through all forms of communication
Serve as a strategic thought partner to the President, Director of Admissions, Director of Advancement, the Principal and others.
Plan and execute multi-channel marketing communications campaigns in support of institutional goals
Serve as the school’s primary writer, editor and digital storyteller
Oversee creation of print and digital collateral including brochures, flyers, invitations, posters, viewbook, newsletters, direct mailers, etc.
Maintain the school’s website
Oversee the school’s media relations, including cultivating media contacts, writing and placing press releases, and pitching news stories
Oversee creation of the school’s magazine and annual report including initial writing, editing, art direction and managing graphic design
Oversee the school’s media strategy and assist with social media content creation
Oversee photo and video shoots to use across multiple marketing platforms including the school website, Advancement and Admissions email marketing, social media and print publications; maintain an organized photo archive system
Maintain the school’s brand standards
Manage relationships with external vendors and community partners
Research and order promotional items.

At least 5 years of progressive experience in a communications or public relations, preferably in an educational institution
Excellent written and verbal communication skills
A Bachelor’s Degree or higher, preferably in communications, marketing or related field.
