Job Summary: The Manager of Sales and Marketing oversees sales and marketing operations and staff members for National Training. This position also selects, implements, and manages new technologies to ensure National Training digital products remain cutting edge and manages the National Training website functionality and content.
Oversees and manages the operation of the Sales and Marketing team; develops and implements sales and marketing goals, objectives, and strategies and ensures execution consistent with organizational direction.
Promotes and implements sales and marketing activities nationwide to sell training and products.
Stays current in knowledge of national trends by monitoring industry periodicals, trade reports, and social media to remain current and to assimilate information into the mission and strategic goals.
Reviews goal progress and develops future goals ensuring that staff and departmental sales goals are achieved; meets sales metrics as defined in strategic plan and tracks sales related data; reviews reports and leverages data for data-based decision-making regarding marketing, sales, and customer service through CRM.
Monitors the overall functioning of the CRM to connect to the business office, track clients and ensure accurate reporting on sales metrics.
Researches, develops, and implements strategic marketing plans for developing business.
Develops strategies and coordinates online marketing campaigns to develop and deliver dynamic content across online engagement channels, ensuring consistency of messages across platforms and channels to improve sales and operations.
Develops and executes initiatives in line with strategic objectives and goals; adapts and revises strategic plan as necessary.
Conducts weekly audits, develops and analyzes reports to evaluate marketing campaigns and web performance results along with sales activity reports; leverages this data to drive decision making.
Develops action plans based on monthly sales & marketing reports; monitors strategic plan through monthly progress reports. Builds, maintains, and manages relationships with prospects and clients; researches and assists with resolving customer service concerns.
Hires, manages, and evaluates staff.
Represents Boys Town at trade shows, conferences, or other industry events and works with marketing and/or administration to ensure marketing collateral is available to potential clients.
Reviews departmental policies and procedures for efficient use of financial resources; reviews monthly departmental finance reports.
Negotiates and establishes service contracts with outside vendors.
Bachelor's Degree in Business, Marketing, or equivalent; Master's degree preferred.
5 to 7 years of experience in marketing and sales; including management.
Available to travel and to work evenings and weekends as needed. Must provide own transportation (mileage reimbursed) to complete travel requirements of the job.
Excellent critical thinking, analytical, and problem solving skills.
Knowledge of organizational strategies and ability to apply those strategies in practice.
Ability to develop strategies, implementation plans, and measurement objectives for digital campaigns.
Ability to communicate with individuals at all levels in the organization and with external contacts in an articulate, professional manner.
Ability to successfully lead a team of associates.
Proficient in using analytical tools and instruments, such as the Microsoft Suite (including Excel and Access), and Web based applications such as CRM or LMS.
Ability to work independently in a collaborative environment, meet deadlines, and mulita-task while maintaining quality standards.
