Required Minimum Qualifications:
Bachelorâs degree and 2 years of related experience
Experience and comprehension of digital accessibility requirements (WCAG 2, Level AAA) and ability to maintain these standards and best practices.
Understanding the importance of working with a website theme, brand standards, and the ability to maintain consistency with established guidelines while offering creative solutions.
Experience with Google Analytics or similar site tracking software, familiarity with SEO principles and user experience best-practices for content structure, navigation, and how to use this information to make recommendations for improvements.
Experience collaborating with multiple stakeholders within an organization; working as part of communication, tech support, or similar team that provides web services to multiple departments/units; and demonstrating strong communication and customer service skills.
Experience managing multiple websites in Word Press (or similar CMS systems) with the ability to maintain and update content; create page structures, responsive and adaptive layout and designs; and familiarity with wire-framing.
Bachelorâs degree in computer science, mass communications, journalism, or related field.
Experience working with Adobe Creative Suite and other programs to assist with print and digital marketing materials.

The College of Engineering communications and marketing office is taking applications for this newly created position to serve as a central resource working closely with stakeholders to create and manage multiple web pages and produce other design projects across many departments and units within the college. The position reports to the director of engineering communications and marketing with project assignment and management also provided by the senior graphic designer, and will collaborate closely with the eight-member college.
Primary responsibilities include:
Helps manage multiple websites within the College of Engineering including departments, units and centers.
Develops new page layouts/designs including custom features for unique communications needs; and maintains and updates existing pages.
Works closely with communications team and college stakeholders to make recommendations on keeping web content and design relevant while following university branding and digital accessibility guidelines.
Works directly with stakeholders (college and department leadership, faculty and staff), to assess their communication needs, make recommendations and implement projects to meet their goals. This may include developing new pages/sites within a CMS; changing and enhancing existing web pages; re-organizing and updating content structure; identifying solutions; and providing strategic and creative options for website improvements.
Additional responsibilities may include:
Assisting with graphic design for print and other projects.
Reviewing web content and assisting with content creation.
Helping with other creative marketing projects where skills can be utilized.
