This role will manage the day-to-day operations and creates content for the institutional Simmons University social media accounts (Facebook, Twitter, Instagram, LinkedIn, etc.). In addition, the Lead Social Media Strategist will provide training and social media oversight and guidance for faculty, staff and students who produce content on the multitude of sub-brand social media accounts.Essential ResponsibilitiesSocial Media Management & StrategyDevelop and execute a social media content strategy that will contribute to raising the University?s national visibility;Oversee a branded online voice for all social media channels;Manage customer-initiated conversations and interact with key audiences in real time;Advise faculty and staff on using social media to communicate with key constituents;Create and promote engaging content across all social media accounts;Stay up to date on emerging social media tips, trends, tricks, sites, and case studies.Performance Tracking and AnalyticsAnalyze and monitor social media accounts and their impact on the University;Develop effective benchmarks for measuring impact of brand messaging campaigns;Monitor social media platforms; collecting and reporting out on channel-specific analytics.Internal Community EngagementLead an educational cross-departmental working group of social media content providers to coordinate strategic brand messaging, best practices, and guidelines;Maintain a directory of all official accounts, communicate with account managers to ensure strategic initiatives are being carried out across all platforms; Serve as social media training liaison for faculty and staff who produce content on the multitude of social media channels.Qualifications & SkillsBachelor?s degree or equivalent experience, preferably in marketing, communications, advertising, or public relations;Minimum 2-3 years of relative work experience in business related social media;Substantial knowledge of web writing and best practices for writing for the web; understanding the nuances of communication and tone in different mediums;Demonstrated understanding of social media analytics as applied to running social communitiesAbility to work both independently, collaboratively, and proactively;Demonstrated experience manage multiple tasks/projects on deadline with a client-service orientation;Willingness and demonstrated experience in learning new applications related to social media and digital marketing;Excellent communication skills with diverse stakeholders;Experience or knowledge of HTML editing and implementation, accessibility best practices and graphics is a plus.Required Application Materials: ResumeCover LetterSalary GradeS06Instructions to Applicants: Please upload all applicable application materials (e.g. resume/cv, cover letter, writing sample, teaching philosophy, etc.) in the Application Materials box on page 2 ("My Experience") of this application.
