Essential Functions: Job Purpose:Supervise the day-to-day operations of the Promotions and Outreach Office in the Maggie Allesee Department of Theatre and Dance. Ensure effective interaction and operation for internal and external constituents conducting business with the department. Assist department leadership with developing and executing marketing plans, establishing sales goals and coordinating plans for activation and promotion of activities. The position will report to the Department Chair.Essential Functions:Supervise day-to-day operations, administration and marketing functions of the Promotions and Outreach Office. Assist with Box Office management. Manage group and individual ticket sales. Manage ticket system to ensure all upgrades and maintenance are completed as contractually and functionally necessary. Develop and implement marketing and PR campaigns for events. Utilize digital marketing, social media and third-party promotions. Track attendance for events, including pre-sales, walk-ups, promotions, discounts, etc.Supervise staff and activities associated with Theatre Management, House Management, ushering and concession. Supervise the Media & Production Coordinator position. Supervise, train and coordinate work of temporary employees and student assistants. Interview and recommend selection of staff. Assign tasks to appropriate staff. Review, monitor and evaluate work performance. Oversee the scheduling of student assistants.Develop group sales goals and plans that will be used to achieve goals specific to Theatre and Dance at Wayne events. Actively research and prospect new sales leads.Prepare departmental activity reports and analyses, including surveys, grant funding, proposals and reporting. Manage the promotions task calendar ensuring adherence to deadlines. Manage expenditures. Conduct ticket audits and reconciliations in relation to events.Assist with organizing special events during the off season and summer season. Promote and book Summer Children's Theatre. Promote and book departmental theatre and dance touring groups.Perform other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications: Education:Bachelor's degree from an accredited college or university. Major coursework in Fine Arts, business management or related field, preferred.Experience:Theatre supervision experience specifically related to promotions and outreach.Knowledge, Skills and Abilities:Oral Communications: ability to listen to others, ask questions when needed, and be able to re-articulate and advocate for other. apply effective interpersonal skills to provide service.
