Summary of Duties:
The ITS Marketing & Communications Consultant is responsible for daily communication efforts of Information Technology Services. This includes the development of a comprehensive communication strategy and work plan each year in support of the University and ITS technology priorities. Creation of the writing, editing and/or coordination of news releases, newsletters, annual reports, proposals, brochures, world-wide web and other materials or projects related to information technology. Establishment of close contacts with ITS managers and staff, University Communications, WSU News and Information Services, WSU Publications and Printing, community and school leaders.
A Bachelor's degree in English, communications, journalism, humanities, public relations, OR related field AND one (1) year of writing/editing/public relations experience; OR equivalent education/experience.
Experience in higher education or an institutional environment.
Experience in developing communications resources including written, video, and print/online visuals.
Experience with Microsoft Office applications including Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook.
Experience in using design applications, and/or video applications.

Range #47, $3,701.00 - $4,855.00 - Successful candidates typically begin at the beginning of the salary range and receive scheduled salary increment increases in accordance with WAC 357-28 or applicable Collective Bargaining Agreement.
