The North American Product & Field Marketing team is seeking a Social Media Intern to be our brand evangelist! This position is primarily responsible for growing the IGT B2C Gaming follower bases - specially supporting IGT Facebook Jackpots showcase page.
The Intern, reporting to the Social Media Strategist, will need to quickly become familiar with IGT's gaming positioning, differentiators, personality, and tone, and social channels. The position requires a person who is a self-starter, who exhibits great follow-through, and works well in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
The successful candidate will be expected to: * Stay abreast of emerging social media trends with high level awareness of relevant and applicable news and stories for brand alignment and development. * Exhibit creative and innovative thinking, ability to craft and publish engaging, original, and high-quality content within tight timelines. * Display impeccable communication, creative writing, and organizational skills. * Work effectively on teams, collaborating on campaigns with cross-functional internal and external stakeholders. * Be a proactive individual with strong planning skills and a unique ability to maximize efforts with limited resources.
The candidate will ensure adherence to our Marketing Code of Conduct and Responsible Gaming standards.
Principal Duties and Responsibilities: * Create jackpot repository of past winners, pulling content and creative from Facebook IGT Jackpots showcase winners page/tab. * Document and report on developing B2B and B2C engagement trends in the social media space (including strategies and tactics shown to be successful with other CPG brands). * Compile reporting metrics and KPIs for specific campaigns and/or channels as directed by Social Media Strategist, reporting on engagement, traffic, and ROI to Sr. Director and others. * Design one or more social media posts, presenting idea to Social Media Strategist, then execute relevant, high-quality content in support of marketing initiatives as needed. * Research social influencer program to better identify, leverage, and track evangelists/influencers among social media community. * When possible, engage in community management at request of Social Media Strategist (includes documentation and vetting with Social Media Strategist of prepared responses). * Time-dependent, support Social Media Strategist with social listening tools.
Qualifications
* Interest in Social Media marketing with familiarity of popular platforms (LinkedIn, Instagram, Facebook, Twitter, YouTube). * Solid communication, writing, and editing skills, including ability to communicate courteously and work effectively with the public, particularly adults of all ages, abilities and cultural backgrounds. * Solid project management and task orientation, ability to multitask effectively. * Proficient in Word, Excel, and PowerPoint. * Ability to function independently, which includes prioritizing and organizing work, report-outs of progress, etc.
