The Impact You'll Make in this Role

As a Digital Design and Video Specialist , you will have the opportunity to tap into your curiosity and collaborate with some of the most innovative and diverse people around the world. Here, you will make an impact through:

• eCOMMERCE/DIGITAL: Develop design and video content focused on eCommerce digital channels, including digital commerce experiences, distributor websites, eCommerce mobile apps, social, paid media, email, etc. (shared workload between design and video)
• VIDEO: Create engaging video, shooting and editing, in both short- and longer- formats for eCommerce and digital experiences
• APPLY LEARNINGS: Understand and apply eCommerce best practices and product storytelling to the content produced
• RESOURCEFULNESS: Work with a range of image and video assets at varying qualities to produce engaging customer purchase journeys via digital commerce
• HIGH OUTPUT: Produce a large amount of optimized content and creative output within reasonable but tight timelines
• PARTNERSHIPS: Partner with cross-functional teams to develop optimized content to be reviewed by portfolio and technical experts
• SUPPORT: Provide technical and content support for multiple design, video, and creative efforts
• INNOVATE: Apply ideation and emerging industry practices to bring greater innovation and engagement to 3M product content (ie 3D Animation, 3D Modeling, Interaction, AR, VR, Metaverse, etc)
• ORGANIZE: Manage timelines and prioritization of workload, and maintain organized content files
• SELF-MANAGE: Work autonomously and develop high-quality content with minimal instruction

Your Skills and Expertise

To set you up for success in this role from day one, 3M requires (at a minimum) the following qualifications:

• Associate's degree or higher (completed and verified prior to start) from an accredited institution
• Thorough knowledge of Adobe Creative Cloud (Premier, InDesign, Illustrator, Photoshop, XD, etc) and Microsoft Office, familiar with Adobe Premiere (video)
• Three (3) years related professional experience in a production environment
• Strong verbal, written and visual communications skills, including the ability to communicate complex concepts and data through images and graphics

Additional qualifications that could help you succeed even further in this role include:

• Alongside expertise in video, skill and experience in photography, particularly product photography and related imagery, is highly valuable for this role
• Understanding of eCommerce principles and best practices, integrated marketing communications, digital marketing principles and front-end web design
• Skill in UX/UI and overall CX, especially in digital and eCommerce experiences, as well as ability to learn and use new tools and tech
• Degree in communications, journalism, marketing, videography, graphic design, digital design, or related field, or demonstrated success in relevant professional fields
• Technically proficient with the ability to troubleshoot and problem solve
• Ability to work independently as well as collaboratively with colleagues
• Excellent organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple tasks and projects simultaneously while meeting deadlines
• Flexibility in working with new issues, topics and approaches
