Undergraduate Admissions is seeking a Marketing & Communications Coordinator who plays an integral role as part of the marketing & communications team for Undergraduate Admissions, supporting the planning, development, and execution of print and digital communications. This position will coordinate and schedule project deliverables, track progress of projects and costs, maintain a robust collateral archive, and prepare and disseminate timely progress and summary reports to office leadership. As part of a creative team, they will also contribute to creative brainstorming, graphic design, copywriting, and proofreading.
Reporting to the Director of Marketing & Communications for Admissions, this position will work with the Office of Undergraduate Admissions marketing & communications team, administrators, admissions counselors, and other staff to support communication, recruitment, and yield efforts.
Specific Duties & Responsibilities:
- Coordinate and track the progress of marketing and communications projects and send weekly status reports to key stakeholders.
- Schedule meetings with project stakeholders and facilitate collection of feedback across projects.
- Manage print and digital collateral inventory and production, including vendor management, print schedules, pricing, and distribution of final product.
- Conduct research and fact-finding to assist in developing content for communications pieces. Draft, write, edit, and proofread as needed.
- Manage website content updates for apply.jhu.edu and admit.jhu.edu.
- Support with graphic design, presentations, photography, and videography projects.
- Serve as Asana administrator, managing user access, template updates, and best practices.
- Process invoices and monitor expenses.
- Participate in special projects.
- Other duties as assigned.
Minimum Qualifications (Mandatory):
- Two years of college coursework and some related work experience required.
- Additional education may substitute for required experience and additional related experience may substitute for required education, to the extent permitted by the JHU equivalency formula.*
* JHU Equivalency Formula: 30 undergraduate degree credits (semester hours) or 18 graduate degree credits may substitute for one year of experience. Additional related experience may substitute for the required education on the same basis. For jobs where equivalency is permitted, up to two years of non-related college course work may be applied towards the total minimum education/experience required for the respective job.
Preferred Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree and two years of related work experience.
- Experience with academia, higher education, and mission-oriented organizations a plus.

- This position requires a highly organized individual with excellent written and oral communication skills, an intense attention to detail, the ability to proactively manage multiple projects simultaneously, and the ability to set priorities and deadlines for self and others.

- Excellent oral, written, and interpersonal communication skills; possess the ability to deal effectively with a broad spectrum of professionals and stakeholders.
- Must work collegially and collaboratively with other Admissions staff, internal clients, and external vendors; outstanding interpersonal skills required.
- Proficiency in and a willingness to learn applicable technologies related to project management, email marketing, web development, and database management.
- Ability to multi-task and product under pressure of multiple and conflicting deadlines.
- Must be autonomous and able to self-manage, work independently, and set own priorities.
- Outstanding ability to articulate details, deliverables, status updates, and desired outcomes to both management and partners.
- Ability to learn the business and culture of the Undergraduate Admissions office to set the context for project management across teams.
