Manages the lending, retail and operations of the branch office. Provides assistance to new and established financial institution customers, including cross selling of products and services. Responsible for the management and oversight of the branch loan portfolio, underwriting, lending compliance, quality assurance, collateral tracking and adherence to policies and procedures. Assists in providing quality loans for the financial institution by underwriting and evaluating loan applications, preparing, reviewing closing documents and closing qualified loans in a timely manner.
Major Duties & Responsibilities:
Manage all areas of the day-to-day activity of a branch.
Represent the branch to customers and the public in various community activities and organizations; market the institution’s products and services.
Meets and follows-up with applicants and secures the necessary information to underwrite the loan, conduct site visits if needed.
Participates in the Bank’s business development calling program.
Prepares decision package and presents loan requests to loan committee.
Look for opportunities to cross-sell banking products and services through interactions with customers while performing transactions or discussing services.
Responsible for a lending portfolio consisting of consumer, residential and commercial real estate and construction loans.
Expertise in loan products and services as well as regulatory guidelines. Ability to acquire, manage and communicate changing product information for all loan products.
Analyze, underwrite, prepare closing documents and close a variety of loan types, including but not limited to commercial loans, consumer loans and residential mortgages (construction, first and second mortgages).
Prepare underwriting and closing package for sale into the secondary market, ensuring compliance with all applicable secondary market standards.
Contact customers regarding delinquent accounts and pursuing collection of delinquent accounts if necessary. Conduct, in consultation with the President, all necessary collection or correction actions, as required.
Oversees the hiring, training, development and performance reviews of branch staff.
Ability to inform, educate and influence branch staff to support corporate goals and objectives. Talent for thinking strategically and acting as a facilitator.
Serves on Loan Committee and ALCO Committee.
Assist in coverage of personal banker area, including but not limited to; opening accounts, account maintenance, etc.
Other duties as assigned.

Education and Experience:
Bachelor’s degree in business or finance and three to five years of related experience.
Extensive knowledge of the institution’s policies, procedures, products and services.
Strong computer skills; ability to operate standard office equipment.
Excellent communication and human resources skills, as well as strong business development skills and experience.
Excellent attention to detail and ability to multi-task.
Strong public relation skills and membership in outside organizations.
