Under direction of the Associate Vice Provost for Innovation and New Ventures/Managing Director of UNHInnovation, provide strategic direction for all communications, marketing, outreach and media relations efforts for UNHInnovation.Manage the marketing, communications, branding, and promotion of the office, including developing, coordinating, and implementing marketing plans, publications, promotional materials, and communications, using writing, communications, design, and social media skills. Engage the external community to create new opportunities for university/industry collaboration and partnership through the development of strategic, industry/community focused events and direct involvement in the planning and strategy of the research park.
Bachelor's degree in marketing, communications, journalism or related field.Five years of marketing and/or communications experience.Experience effectively leveraging social media channels (particularly Twitter, Facebook, LinkedIn, and Instagram) for communications and marketing, as well as experience using social media management platforms (e.g. Hootsuite, Buffer) and analytics tracking. Proven expertise using Adobe Creative Suite software, particularly InDesign, Illustrator, and Photoshop.Proficiency with Microsoft Office (Word, Excel and PowerPoint).Excellent writing and copy editing skills including working knowledge of APA Style.Experience with email marketing systems (e.g., Constant Contact, MailChimp, Vertical Response.)Experience with Content Management Systems (e.g. Drupal, Wordpress).
