Position Summary Coordinator of Creative Media Department of Intercollegiate Athletics Full Time
Primary Responsibilities:
Work in collaboration with the athletics marketing and strategic communications staff with the goal of increasing awareness, attendance, and revenue for all 15 NCAA Division I athletic programs
Coordinate the digital marketing and creative service needs of the athletics department with an emphasis on creative video, as well as photography and graphic design
Produce creative video content for SEMO Athletics, including highlights, hype, interviews, profiles, and other content
Produce fan engagement video, animated and graphic content for in-venue videoboards
Archive and log footage, highlight melts and original content
Design, layout and prepare visually appealing branded elements for use in digital and print mediums while maintaining the brand and image of the department and University
Assist in the development and execution of the digital and social media strategy for the athletics department and its teams
Assist in the execution of sponsorship fulfillment as needed
Assist the communications and marketing department with the maintenance of the official website for the athletic department, SEMORedhawks.com
Required Qualifications
Bachelor's degree
Experience working creative video and graphic design
Experience working in marketing, communications and/or public relations
Proficiency working with video editing and graphic design software programs, preferably Adobe Creative Suite including but not limited to Premier, After Effects, Photoshop, Illustrator, and InDesign
Working knowledge of social media programs and applications
Understand all elements of video production and photography, including shooting, editing, lighting, and audio
Demonstrated time management and organizational skills, including the ability to manage multiple projects at the same time
Excellent creative, verbal and written communication skills
Ability to work extended evening and weekend hours
Demonstrated knowledge of and commitment to NCAA regulations
Demonstrated commitment to a diverse work environment, including working with multi-cultural populations and an understanding of, and sensitivity to, issues affecting women and minorities
