Texas State University is seeking applications for the position of Marketing & Social Media Coordinator. The Marketing & Social Media Coordinator is responsible for developing and implementing marketing plans for the purpose of increasing public awareness, encouraging increased attendance and enhancing the fan experience for athletic programs through game operations and fan engagement. This role will also serve as the day-to-day social media coordinator including scheduling social media posts for all platforms, interacting with accounts daily, and developing a social media strategy that aligns with the Texas State Athletics brand. This position includes social media coordination, developing and administering assessment tools, assisting with marketing strategies, developing and directing promotions and special events, managing student staff, and being the primary marketing contact for assigned sports. This position is responsible for collaborating with Texas State Sports Properties, the Bobcat Club, and other athletics and university staff.
Ability to develop and implement proven marketing strategies
Ability to implement and coordinate efficiently and effectively multiple digital media platforms, including social media
Knowledge of applied game/event operations and athletic marketing
Industry trends to increase attendance at sporting events
Working knowledge of Microsoft Office programs, including word and excel
Ability to establish rapport with internal and external constituents
